PET STOP of Central PA
You have probably heard about pet containment and underground electric fence systems (often called invisible fences), but you may not know how they work. It's really quite simple:

A small wire, approved for underground burial, is run around the perimeter of your yard (usually buried just beneath the surface). This wire is connected to a small control unit (the transmitter), which sends a radio signal through the buried wire.
You pet wears a special computerized receiver collar. If your pet gets close to the wire, the collar beeps and administers a brief "training pulse." In just a short time, your dog learns to respect the boundaries that you establish for your pet.
Although these fencing systems have made owning a dog more convenient for hundreds of thousands of families, there have been problems with safety and reliability.
As you'll discover, PET STOP is designed to eliminate all the problems of ordinary pet fence systems.
The Transmitter
Built-In Lightning Protection w/ZappAlert™
Traditionally, lightning has been one of the most common causes of transmitter failure. This is why PET STOP has developed built-in surge and over-voltage protection for both the electrical outlet and any high voltage carried by the buried wire in your yard. In addition to this, we have added a feature that will give you an audio-visual indication should lightning damage your unit. This will help provide the extra protection you and your pet need. Should your transmitter ever be damaged due to a surge, your transmitter will continue to sound two short beeps. If this happens, contact your local dealer for service immediately.
Wire Break Warning System
Your transmitter also has a built-in sensor which monitors the boundary wire. If, for any reason, the wire becomes broken the transmitter display will begin to flash and a continuous single beep will alert you to the problem. You should then contact your local dealer, who will be able to assist you in locating and repairing the break correctly.
Fully Adjustable Range
By pressing the up and down buttons located on the front of the transmitter, you will be able to adjust the field for your specific installation. Pressing the up button will increase the field width, while pressing the down button will decrease the field; it's that simple. The digital display will give you (32) thirty-two steps from 01-32 to set the level required for your installation.
The Receiver
Low Battery Light
This is the indicator which alerts the owner that the battery is low and needs to be replaced. The indicator will flash approximately 5 days before it expires.
Probes Comfort Contacts ®
The soft probes that make contact with your pet's neck to apply the training pulse when needed.
Battery Cover
Remove this cover to replace the battery.
Attaching The Receiver
IN order to attach the receiver to the collar provided with your PET STOP system, place the collar holes over the receiver inserts. The receiver case should be on the outside of the collar. Next, install the plastic washers with the flat side toward the probes. Then, attach the probes by screwing them snugly (preferably by hand) into the receiver inserts.
Be Careful not to over-tighten the probes. They can Break.
If you wish to attach the receiver to a collar other than the one provided by your PET STOP Dealer, you must create two holes through which you insert the washers & probes. After doing so , follow the above steps for attaching the receiver.
Battery Replacement
To replace the battery, remove the battery cover with any flat-head screwdriver. Remove the old battery and discard it. Install the new battery with the positive (+) side toward the battery cover. If you are uncertain which side of the battery is positive, look closely at the flat side of the battery.
